Outland is an immersive experience that picks up the thread of golden era 1980s blockbuster sci-fi cinema and extends it to the present. It re-envisions familiar worlds inhabited by aliens, AI uprisings and tyrannic governments, breaking the stories apart in their core elements, which are then synthesized again in new, upgraded narratives of replicants, xenomorphs and killer trucks.

Outland does not provide a revised soundtrack for the films. It rather emerges itself into the feeling of 1980s sci-fi and the music is meant to evoke that terrifying, yet strangely comforting sensation of dystopian futures. It is the soundscape of an abstract place of neon-lit back alleys, abandoned space shuttles, cybernetic or chemical enhancements for altered perception and vehicles flying in the heavily polluted air of gigantic skylines.
